Who it’s for

Adults whose weight is affecting their health and who have found diet and activity changes alone difficult to sustain. Eligibility is assessed against current clinical guidance — typically based on BMI and related health factors — and not everyone will be suitable. These treatments are for managing weight as a health issue, not for cosmetic slimming.

How treatment works (in general terms)

Where appropriate, modern weight-management medicines work with your body’s appetite signals to reduce hunger and "food noise", making a calorie-controlled diet easier to maintain. They are used alongside changes to diet and activity, not instead of them, and are started at a low dose that is reviewed over time.

Support included

Your programme includes regular check-ins, dose reviews and pharmacist support, so you are monitored for safety and progress throughout — not left alone with a prescription.

The right treatment, if any, is chosen by your prescriber based on your full assessment, medical history and current guidance. We don’t advertise specific medicines, and we won’t supply anything that isn’t safe and appropriate for you. If you’re not suitable, you’re fully refunded and pointed to safer next steps.

Good to know

Common questions

Are these treatments safe?

When prescribed appropriately, monitored, and used alongside lifestyle changes, weight-management medicines have a well-studied safety profile. They can cause side effects (commonly digestive ones early on), which is exactly why proper assessment and follow-up matter.

Will I keep the weight off?

Sustained results depend on building lasting diet and activity habits. Medication can help, but the programme’s coaching and check-ins are designed to support changes that last beyond it.

Can I get this on the NHS?

Some people qualify for NHS weight-management support. We’ll always tell you if an NHS route may be more appropriate for you.

FAQs

Weight loss injections — common questions

General information only. Your prescriber confirms what is safe and appropriate for you.

Who is eligible for weight loss injections?

Licensed weekly injection pathways are for adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related health problems, where BMI and clinical history meet MHRA-approved criteria. Your prescriber confirms eligibility — we do not rely on self-reported weight alone for high-risk medicines and may ask for verification.

What are common side effects of GLP-1 weight loss injections?

The most common side effects are digestive — nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, constipation or diarrhoea — especially when starting or increasing dose. These often improve as your body adjusts. Your prescriber titrates dose slowly and reviews you regularly. Report severe or persistent symptoms promptly.

How does dose titration work?

You start on a low weekly dose and increase only when your prescriber agrees you are tolerating treatment well. Each dose tier has its own monthly price. Do not increase faster than your care plan recommends.

How should I store injection pens?

Follow the patient information leaflet supplied with your pen. Most pens are refrigerated before first use and may be kept at room temperature for a limited period once in use. Never freeze. Use cold-chain delivery packs as guidance and contact us if a pen arrives warm or damaged.

How much weight might I lose?

Results vary. Clinical trials show meaningful weight loss over months when injections are combined with diet and activity changes — not from the pen alone. Your clinician sets realistic expectations based on your starting weight and health.

Can I switch between GLP-1 and dual-action pathways?

Only with prescriber review. Pathways use different medicines and titration schedules. Book a review through your account if you are not progressing or have side effects — do not switch products without clinical guidance.
