Trust & regulation

How Sanara Health is regulated, who reviews your care, and how to verify us on official UK registers.

Is Sanara Health a registered UK pharmacy?

Yes. Sanara Health operates through a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Our GMC-registered clinicians and GPhC registration numbers are published on this site so you can verify them on the official registers before you order.

Who reviews my consultation?

A named, UK-registered prescriber — a doctor (GMC) or independent pharmacist prescriber (GPhC) — reviews every consultation. Prescriptions are never issued automatically from a questionnaire alone. The prescriber may contact you for more information before making a decision.

Is this service legal in the UK?

Yes. Online prescribing and pharmacy supply in Great Britain must meet GPhC standards and MHRA requirements for genuine, licensed medicines. We follow the same safeguards as high-street pharmacies: clinical assessment, identity verification where required, and pharmacist dispensing.

Are the medicines genuine UK-licensed products?

Yes. Prescription medicines are sourced through UK wholesale channels and dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy team — the same supply chain used by high-street chemists. We do not substitute a different medicine without telling you and obtaining your agreement.

Can I verify your pharmacy on the GPhC register?

Yes — and you should, for any online pharmacy. Search our GPhC pharmacy number (shown in the site footer and on our About page) at pharmacyregulation.org. If a site will not show a verifiable GPhC number, do not use it.

Consultation & prescribing

What happens during assessment, identity checks, prescriber review, and when treatment is — or is not — supplied.

Can I just buy medication at the checkout?

No — and you should be cautious of any service that lets you. For prescription medicines, UK rules require a proper clinical assessment. You complete a confidential consultation, a registered prescriber reviews it (and may contact you), and treatment is only supplied if it is safe and appropriate for you.

What happens if I am not suitable for treatment?

If a prescriber decides a treatment is not appropriate, it will not be supplied and you receive a full refund for any treatment paid for. You will be advised on safer or more suitable next steps — which may include seeing your GP in person.

Why do I need to complete a medical questionnaire?

Pharmacy-only and prescription-only medicines must only be supplied when a clinician confirms they are safe and effective for you. The questionnaire covers your health history, current medicines, and symptoms — the same information a GP or pharmacist would need in person.

Why do you carry out identity checks?

UK regulators require online pharmacies to verify who they are treating — similar to registering with a GP surgery. We may verify your name, date of birth, and address automatically; if that fails, we will ask for photo ID and proof of address. You normally only complete this once.

Can I order prescription medicine for someone else?

No. Prescription consultations must be completed by the patient themselves. A prescription must be issued for a named individual who has been clinically assessed. Pharmacy-only products for minor conditions may sometimes be ordered for a family member, but the person taking the medicine should complete the suitability questions where possible.

Why might a prescriber contact me after I order?

Sometimes we need extra clinical information — for example about your blood pressure, other medicines, or recent test results — before we can safely prescribe. You will receive a secure message in your account or by email. Please respond within 5 working days or your order may be cancelled and refunded.

Will you contact my GP?

With your consent we can share relevant information with your GP to support safe, joined-up care. We will always ask before doing so. You can also provide your GP details during checkout if you would like us to notify them.

Is the online consultation free?

Your clinical assessment is included in the programme price for prescription treatments — there is no separate consultation fee on top of the treatment cost shown on our site. If you are not suitable, you are not charged for the medicine.

Ordering & payment

Checkout, payment timing, receipts, and how repeat ordering works.

What will appear on my bank or card statement?

Charges appear as “SANARA HLTH” — a neutral descriptor with no medicine names, condition wording, or “online pharmacy” text that reveals what you ordered. Your receipt and order details are in your secure patient account and order emails.

Do you take payment on your website?

Yes. When you complete your assessment, payment is taken through our secure, PCI-compliant payment partner on our site. For prescription treatments, your card is authorised first and charged only when a prescriber approves your order and it is dispatched. If you are not suitable, the charge is cancelled or refunded.

When is my card charged?

When you confirm your order, your bank may see a temporary authorisation. Your card is charged when your order is approved and dispatched — not while the prescriber is still reviewing your consultation. If your order is declined clinically, the charge is cancelled or refunded.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major UK debit and credit cards through a secure payment provider. Saved card details, where offered, are stored by the payment processor — not on our servers — using industry-standard encryption.

Will I receive a receipt or order confirmation?

Yes. You receive an email confirmation when your order is placed and another when your treatment is dispatched, including tracking where applicable. Order history is also available in your account.

How do repeat orders work?

Log in to your account and select your treatment to reorder. You will be asked to confirm your medical details are unchanged — repeat consultations are faster than your first order, but a prescriber still reviews each supply where required by law.

Can I use more than one discount code?

Only one promotional code can be applied per order. If several offers are available, choose the one that gives you the best value at checkout.

Can I order by phone?

Prescription consultations must be completed online so your answers are recorded accurately and reviewed by a prescriber. Our patient support team can help by email during opening hours if you have trouble with the forms.

What expiry dates do medicines have?

We use stock rotation so medicines arrive with the longest possible expiry — typically at least six months for ongoing treatments unless a shorter date is unavoidable and clearly communicated.

Delivery & packaging

Discreet UK delivery, tracking, cold-chain handling for injections, and what to do if a parcel is delayed.

Is delivery discreet?

Yes. Plain, unmarked outer packaging — no product names, logos, or condition labels on the box. Courier labels use a neutral sender name that does not reference your treatment. Courier tracking shows a neutral sender where possible. Your patient portal and order emails do not name your condition in subject lines.

What time do I need to order by for same-day dispatch?

Approved orders placed before 3:00pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same working day. Orders approved after 3pm or at weekends dispatch the next working day. You receive tracking by email when your parcel leaves the pharmacy.

How fast is UK delivery?

Standard tracked delivery (2–3 working days after dispatch, from £2.99) and express tracked (1–2 working days after dispatch, from £4.99) are available at checkout. Injection pens use cold-chain packaging. See our delivery page for full details.

Can I collect my order instead of home delivery?

Prefer not to receive parcels at home? Select a local Post Office or parcel shop collection point at checkout where available.

Will anyone know what is inside the parcel?

No. The outer packaging is plain and unmarked. There are no product names, logos, or condition labels on the box. Most tablet orders fit through a standard UK letterbox where size allows.

Do you deliver across the UK?

We deliver to UK addresses including Northern Ireland. Some remote postcodes may take an extra day. We do not currently ship prescription medicines outside the United Kingdom.

Can I track my order?

Yes. When your order is dispatched you receive tracking details by email and in your account. Contact us if tracking shows no movement after the expected delivery window.

What if my order has not arrived?

Check your tracking link first. If a parcel is lost or delayed beyond 7–10 working days from dispatch, contact our support team and we will investigate with the courier and arrange a redelivery or refund as appropriate.

Subscriptions & repeat orders

Monthly plans, pausing, cancelling, and how billing works for ongoing treatment.

Can I cancel or pause my subscription?

Yes. Monthly treatment plans can be paused or cancelled from your account before your next billing date. There is no long-term contract. If payment has already been taken and your medicine has been dispensed, we cannot refund that supply — but you will not be charged again after cancellation.

Am I locked into a long-term contract?

No. Subscriptions are rolling monthly plans you can change or stop. Some programmes offer better value on multi-month plans, but you are never locked in beyond the period you have already paid for.

Are there hidden fees?

The price shown on our treatment pages is the programme price before dispatch. Delivery may be included or shown separately at checkout depending on the product. There are no separate prescriber fees on top of the listed treatment price.

When is payment taken for subscription refills?

Payment for your next supply is taken a short time before dispatch — typically 48 hours — so your treatment arrives before you run out. You can turn off automatic refills in your account at any time before that point.

Returns, refunds & cancellations

What you can return, refund timing if you are declined, and cancelling before dispatch.

Can I return unused prescription medicine?

No. Once dispensed and dispatched, prescription medicines cannot be returned or reused — this is the same rule as high-street pharmacies and applies across UK online clinics.

Can I return supplements or non-medicinal products?

Unopened, non-medicinal shop items may be returnable if unused and in resalable condition — see our Returns Policy for details. Opened food supplements cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.

Can I cancel before my order is dispatched?

Yes. Contact us as soon as possible before you receive a dispatch confirmation. If your medicine has not yet been dispensed, we will cancel the order and release or refund the payment.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within 3–5 working days, depending on your bank. If a prescriber declines your consultation, the refund is processed as soon as the decision is made.

Account & privacy

How we protect your health data, keep billing and emails discreet, and secure your account.

How is my information kept private?

Consultations and health information are confidential, encrypted in transit, and accessible only to staff involved in your care — in line with UK GDPR. Sharing with your GP is optional and only with your consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Will my emails reveal what I ordered?

Order emails use a neutral subject line. Your condition is not named in the subject or email preview — log in to your account for clinical details. Confirmations are sent from [email protected]. For full clinical details, log in to your secure patient account.

How do I set up an account?

You create an account when you complete your first consultation. Each person needs their own account and email address so medical information stays confidential.

How do I check my order status?

Log in to your patient account to view order history, tracking links, and messages from your prescriber. You also receive email updates when your order is approved and dispatched.

How do I reset my password?

Use the "Forgot password" link on the login page. If you cannot access your email, contact patient support with your registered details and we will verify your identity before resetting access.

How do I close my account?

Email patient support to request account closure. We retain medical records for the period required by pharmacy and healthcare law, but your login can be deactivated on request.

Is my payment information stored securely?

Payment details are processed by our PCI-compliant payment partner. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.

Treatments & programmes

Common questions about weight loss, men's health, women's health, and our supplement shop.

How much do weight loss injections cost?

Weekly injection plans start from £115 per month for GLP-1 starter doses, with dual-action pathways from £149 per month. All-inclusive pricing covers prescriber review, pen, needles, sharps bin, and delivery. See our weight loss injections page for every dose tier.

How much do ED tablets cost?

Short-acting on-demand tablets start from £0.79 per tablet; daily tablets from £0.93 per tablet; pharmacy-only options from £4.60 per tablet. Final pricing is confirmed after your prescriber assessment. See our men's health page for full details.

How much do hair loss treatments cost?

Daily oral tablets start from £0.36 per tablet; combined topical spray from £21 per month; complete oral plus topical plans from £37 per month. Results are typically assessed at 3–6 months.

Are food supplements prescription medicines?

No. Supplements in our shop are food supplements, not prescription-only medicines, so they can be bought directly without a consultation. They are not a substitute for medical advice or prescribed treatment.

Do you offer NHS prescriptions or emergency care?

We are a private online clinic, not an NHS service or emergency provider. For urgent medical help call 111 or 999. We can work alongside your NHS GP with your consent but do not replace in-person care when it is needed.

What conditions do you treat?

We offer clinician-led programmes for weight management, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, premature ejaculation, women's health (contraception and menopause), general GP consultations, and eye health advice — plus a shop of supportive supplements.

Treatment-specific questions

Side effects, eligibility, and what to expect — by programme. Also on each programme page.

Weight loss injections

Who is eligible for weight loss injections?

Licensed weekly injection pathways are for adults with obesity or overweight with weight-related health problems, where BMI and clinical history meet MHRA-approved criteria. Your prescriber confirms eligibility — we do not rely on self-reported weight alone for high-risk medicines and may ask for verification.

What are common side effects of GLP-1 weight loss injections?

The most common side effects are digestive — nausea, reduced appetite, bloating, constipation or diarrhoea — especially when starting or increasing dose. These often improve as your body adjusts. Your prescriber titrates dose slowly and reviews you regularly. Report severe or persistent symptoms promptly.

How does dose titration work?

You start on a low weekly dose and increase only when your prescriber agrees you are tolerating treatment well. Each dose tier has its own monthly price. Do not increase faster than your care plan recommends.

How should I store injection pens?

Follow the patient information leaflet supplied with your pen. Most pens are refrigerated before first use and may be kept at room temperature for a limited period once in use. Never freeze. Use cold-chain delivery packs as guidance and contact us if a pen arrives warm or damaged.

How much weight might I lose?

Results vary. Clinical trials show meaningful weight loss over months when injections are combined with diet and activity changes — not from the pen alone. Your clinician sets realistic expectations based on your starting weight and health.

Can I switch between GLP-1 and dual-action pathways?

Only with prescriber review. Pathways use different medicines and titration schedules. Book a review through your account if you are not progressing or have side effects — do not switch products without clinical guidance.

Erectile dysfunction

How do ED tablets work?

Prescription ED tablets (PDE5 inhibitors) improve blood flow to the penis when you are sexually aroused. They do not cause an erection without stimulation. Your prescriber checks heart medicines, blood pressure, and other conditions before supply.

How long before sex should I take a tablet?

Short-acting on-demand tablets are usually taken 30–60 minutes before activity. Longer-acting on-demand options may work within 20–30 minutes and can support erections for up to 36 hours in suitable men. Daily low-dose tablets are taken every day at the same time — not only before sex.

Can I take ED tablets with alcohol?

Moderate alcohol may be acceptable for some men but can worsen ED and increase side effects such as dizziness or low blood pressure. Heavy drinking is discouraged. Always follow your prescriber's advice and the patient information leaflet.

Why can't I take ED tablets with nitrates?

PDE5 tablets must not be combined with nitrate medicines (often used for angina or chest pain) or certain recreational drugs — the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your prescriber about all medicines and heart symptoms.

What is the difference between on-demand and daily tablets?

On-demand tablets are taken before sex when you need them. Daily low-dose tablets build a steady level so you do not plan around a pill — useful if you want spontaneity or have regular activity. Your prescriber helps you choose based on health and preference.

What if tablets do not work for me?

Contact our clinical team. Dose, timing, or an alternative format may help. Persistent ED can signal cardiovascular or hormonal issues — we may recommend blood tests or an in-person GP review.

Hair loss

How long before I see hair loss results?

Most men see reduced shedding by 3 months and visible regrowth by 6–12 months. The first weeks may include increased shedding — a normal sign the hair cycle is resetting. Photograph your hairline in consistent lighting to track progress honestly.

What are side effects of oral hair tablets?

Most men tolerate treatment well. A small number report reduced libido, erection changes, or mood effects. These usually resolve on stopping. Report any breast symptoms, rash, or depression promptly. Your prescriber explains risks before you start.

Should I use oral tablets, topical spray, or both?

Combined oral plus topical plans are the most effective approach for most men with male pattern loss. Topical-only or combined spray options suit men who prefer to avoid tablets or add scalp treatment. Your prescriber recommends what fits your history.

Is the combined topical spray different from minoxidil alone?

Our combined spray delivers two clinically used topical actives in one bottle — a follicle stimulant plus a scalp DHT-blocking agent — whereas standalone regrowth solution is typically minoxidil-class only. Your prescriber confirms the right format.

Can women use these hair plans?

Our listed hair programmes are for male pattern hair loss in men. Women with thinning hair need a different assessment — contact us or see your GP, as some men's treatments are not safe in pregnancy or for female pattern loss.

What if I stop treatment?

Hair preserved or regrown while on treatment is typically lost gradually over months after stopping — the underlying pattern baldness continues. Discuss long-term plans with your prescriber before you start.

Low testosterone & TRT

Do I need a blood test before TRT?

Yes. Testosterone replacement is only appropriate when blood tests confirm low levels on at least two occasions, usually with symptoms. We offer at-home kits or can work with recent GP results where suitable.

What symptoms might low testosterone cause?

Possible symptoms include low mood, fatigue, reduced libido, erection difficulties, and loss of muscle mass — but these have many other causes. Tests before treatment are essential; we do not treat on symptoms alone.

How is testosterone treatment given?

Formats include gel, injection, or capsule depending on what suits you clinically. Your prescriber explains application, monitoring, and fertility implications before you start.

How often will I need monitoring?

Regular blood tests check testosterone level, blood count, and prostate markers as appropriate. Expect review every few months initially, then at least annually when stable.

Premature ejaculation

What treatments are available for premature ejaculation?

Options include on-demand prescription tablets taken before activity, daily tablets that build a steady level, and practical behavioural techniques. Your prescriber selects what is safe with your other medicines.

How quickly do PE tablets work?

On-demand tablets are taken 1–3 hours before sex. Daily options may take 1–2 weeks to reach full effect. Techniques such as pause–squeeze can be used alongside medicine.

Can PE be linked to erectile dysfunction?

Yes — anxiety about erections can worsen ejaculation timing and vice versa. We assess both together where relevant and may recommend combined or stepwise care.
