FAQs
Erectile dysfunction — common questions
General information only. Your prescriber confirms what is safe and appropriate for you.
How do ED tablets work?
Prescription ED tablets (PDE5 inhibitors) improve blood flow to the penis when you are sexually aroused. They do not cause an erection without stimulation. Your prescriber checks heart medicines, blood pressure, and other conditions before supply.
How long before sex should I take a tablet?
Short-acting on-demand tablets are usually taken 30–60 minutes before activity. Longer-acting on-demand options may work within 20–30 minutes and can support erections for up to 36 hours in suitable men. Daily low-dose tablets are taken every day at the same time — not only before sex.
Can I take ED tablets with alcohol?
Moderate alcohol may be acceptable for some men but can worsen ED and increase side effects such as dizziness or low blood pressure. Heavy drinking is discouraged. Always follow your prescriber's advice and the patient information leaflet.
Why can't I take ED tablets with nitrates?
PDE5 tablets must not be combined with nitrate medicines (often used for angina or chest pain) or certain recreational drugs — the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your prescriber about all medicines and heart symptoms.
What is the difference between on-demand and daily tablets?
On-demand tablets are taken before sex when you need them. Daily low-dose tablets build a steady level so you do not plan around a pill — useful if you want spontaneity or have regular activity. Your prescriber helps you choose based on health and preference.
What if tablets do not work for me?
Contact our clinical team. Dose, timing, or an alternative format may help. Persistent ED can signal cardiovascular or hormonal issues — we may recommend blood tests or an in-person GP review.
FAQs
Hair loss — common questions
General information only. Your prescriber confirms what is safe and appropriate for you.
How long before I see hair loss results?
Most men see reduced shedding by 3 months and visible regrowth by 6–12 months. The first weeks may include increased shedding — a normal sign the hair cycle is resetting. Photograph your hairline in consistent lighting to track progress honestly.
What are side effects of oral hair tablets?
Most men tolerate treatment well. A small number report reduced libido, erection changes, or mood effects. These usually resolve on stopping. Report any breast symptoms, rash, or depression promptly. Your prescriber explains risks before you start.
Should I use oral tablets, topical spray, or both?
Combined oral plus topical plans are the most effective approach for most men with male pattern loss. Topical-only or combined spray options suit men who prefer to avoid tablets or add scalp treatment. Your prescriber recommends what fits your history.
Is the combined topical spray different from minoxidil alone?
Our combined spray delivers two clinically used topical actives in one bottle — a follicle stimulant plus a scalp DHT-blocking agent — whereas standalone regrowth solution is typically minoxidil-class only. Your prescriber confirms the right format.
Can women use these hair plans?
Our listed hair programmes are for male pattern hair loss in men. Women with thinning hair need a different assessment — contact us or see your GP, as some men's treatments are not safe in pregnancy or for female pattern loss.
What if I stop treatment?
Hair preserved or regrown while on treatment is typically lost gradually over months after stopping — the underlying pattern baldness continues. Discuss long-term plans with your prescriber before you start.
