How to choose a UK online clinic
Six checks that matter more than a headline price.

Registration you can check
The dispensing pharmacy should appear on the GPhC register (PSNI in Northern Ireland) under the name and address the service gives you. Online prescribing services in England should be registered with the CQC.

A real clinical assessment
Expect a medical questionnaire reviewed by a named UK prescriber, questions about other medicines and conditions, and sometimes ID or records checks. Instant approval with no questions is a warning sign.

The full cost, not the headline
Add the consultation, treatment, delivery and any repeat or monitoring charges over the same number of months. Subscriptions can renew automatically, so read the cancellation terms first.

Delivery and discretion
Check the delivery fee, dispatch cut-off and whether a signature is needed. Delivery times usually start after clinical approval, not when you place the order.

Aftercare and follow-up
Find out who answers questions about side effects, how quickly they reply and what monitoring the provider arranges for longer-term treatment.

What happens if you are declined
A legitimate service can refuse treatment when it is not appropriate. Check the refund terms and whether the provider signposts you to your GP, a pharmacy or NHS 111.

How do you compare online clinics?
We compare service features anyone can verify: consultation and delivery fees, delivery speed, subscription models and regulatory registrations (GPhC, CQC). We do not compare or recommend prescription medicines — that is a clinical decision for each clinic’s prescribers.
Which is the best online pharmacy in the UK?
There is no single best service for everyone. The right choice depends on the condition, whether you want a one-off order or a plan, total cost over time, delivery needs and aftercare. Start with services that are properly registered, then compare those features.
Which UK online pharmacy is cheapest?
It depends on the treatment, dose, plan length and delivery. Headline prices often exclude consultation, delivery or renewal charges. Compare written quotes over the same period with our cost planner, and confirm the final price with the provider after assessment.
Are all the clinics listed regulated?
We check the dispensing pharmacy against the relevant register before listing a service. Registrations can change, so use our provider-verification guide to confirm the current entry yourself before paying.
Why do some cells say “Check site”?
We only publish a figure we have checked against the provider’s own website within the last 45 days. Where we have no recent verified figure, we show “Check site” rather than guess. A missing figure is not evidence that a service is free or unavailable.
Is it safe to buy prescription treatment online?
It can be, when a UK-registered prescriber assesses you and a registered pharmacy supplies the medicine. It is unsafe to buy prescription-only medicines from sellers that skip the assessment, cannot be found on a UK register or ship from unknown sources.
How does Sanara make money?

Should I use the NHS instead?
For urgent symptoms, call 999 or NHS 111. Many minor conditions can be treated free or at the standard prescription charge through Pharmacy First or your GP. Private online clinics mainly offer convenience, speed and treatments the NHS may not fund.
